This scrappy last-minute shoot came together over dinner the night before. We wrote the script on napkins, which would feature a couple going for a rainy hike to the beach to dig for clams to roast over a fire at sunset. We were sure that December in Oregon would provide the perfect rainy backdrop for this shoot, but the clouds parted the morning of the shoot. So we bought large hand-pump sprayers from the local hardware store and experimented with the angle of the spray to make it rain. It's a testament to making a shoot with any budget successful no matter the circumstances.
